I was honored to have been chosen to join this year’s Back to School challenge. Campus Book Rentals supplied 85 Bloggers with $25 each to fill a backpack full of supplies and donate it to a child. What a blessing this is and I love being apart of it. I live in a small rural town without many places to shop but I managed to fill a backpack and make a child very happy.
Here is what I bought:
1 Backpack $2.79
2 1″ Black Binders B1G1 $2.99
5 Papermate Mech Pencils .29 each
3 Papermate Blue Pens .29 each
2 Papermate Black Pens .29
6 Folders with prongs .29
1 Crayola Colored Pencils 1.99
4 Packs of Lined Notebook paper .69
1 Plastic Protractor .19
1 Wooden Ruler .19
1 Crayola Markers $1.97
1 Crayola Crayons .75
3 Glue Sticks .75
My daughter joined in on packing the backpack and got really excited that she was helping too. Have you donated school supplies to pay it forward if so I would love to hear about it.

SANUS and Safe Kids Worldwide have joined together to bring awareness to injuries caused by flat screen TV’s. Due to increasing size and new ultra thin designs, today’s flat panel TVs can easily tip over when bumped or pulled, toppling off of furniture and causing injury or even death.
A 2011 US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) report on flat panel TV safety revealed:
· A child is killed every three weeks from an unsecured TV
· Every 45 minutes a child visits an emergency room due to a TV tip-over related injury
· Between 2000 and 2011, 215 fatalities have resulted from TV tip-over
· An estimated 17,000 people each year, the majority of which are children, are treated for injuries from TV tip-overs
· Reported cases have increased almost 25% from 2006 to 2010, and over the last 10 years, injuries have increased by 31%
SANUS TV Mounting Tips:
· Easy 1, 2, 3 installation with a wall template to ensure even placement
Online video walkthrough of simple installation available at any time
No additional tools necessary – all required installation hardware is included in package
Live customer support available 6 days a week

“My first blog post was about___________________ .
My first blog post was a thank you to our awesome designer. She manged to take only email and make this site exactly how it was in my head. Now my dream site might not be your dream site but it was mine at the time. She did an awesome job. Over the past few months my dream has slowly changed and I realize it is time for TGASC to get a makeover. What will it be? How will it look? Who knows God hasn’t filled in the blanks yet. Be on the look out though. Changes are a comin’!
How to Grow a Pineapple
I have a confession! I love, love, love fresh pineapple. I never tried fresh pineapple until I became an adult (sad but true) but I adore it now. I got to thinking about growing carrot tops one day and thought I bet you can grow pineapple, sure enough you can!
Start with a good Pineapple! Does not matter what the top looks like. You will use the top but you will also want to eat the pineapple so make sure it’s good! Start by twisting the top off of it. Don’t worry you won’t break it. Just give it a few good twists and it will pop right off!
The next step is to start pealing down the leaves. As you peal them down you will start to see little roots. I hope you can see them out in the picture. Peal until you do not see any more roots. I pealed about an inch up my steam before I ran out of roots. Gently loosen the roots, they will be stuck to the steam. Once you have pealed and loosened you are ready for the next step.
You’ve figured out how to grow a Pineapple
Next you want a small to medium pot and some potting soil. Dig a hole in the soil and plant your Pineapple Stem and add your water. Now you have planted your very own Pineapple and you are ready for the final step.
Finally you can enjoy the sweet rewards of your Pineapple. This is what life is all about! You just gotta love it!
Here’s my plant about a week out. Part of your plant will turn brown and die, that’s ok it’s supposed to do that. If you look real close right in the middle you will see I have a new stem popping up. Wonder how long it will take for my new Pineapple to grow?

A Mother’s Love
There are times when only a mother’s love
Can understand our tears,
Can soothe our disappoints
And calm all of our fears.
There are times when only a mother’s love
Can share the joy we feel
When something we’ve dreamed about
Quite suddenly is real.
There are times when only a mother’s faith
Can help us on life’s way
And inspire in us the confidence
We need from day to day.
For a mother’s heart and a mother’s faith
And a mother’s steadfast love
Were fashioned by the angels
And sent from God above.

This past week I was asked to come be witness at the swearing in of a Judge.
The Person that was sworn into office, is my prayer partner. I told him a little over a year ago that he could do so much from where God was getting him positioned for. He looked at me like I was crazy. Sometimes even I think I am …kinda, but time and time again God has shown Himself so very faithful to what he wants to do through us.
I knew and shared with him that he would do so much. Even if he thought he was limited in what was possible. With Christ so much more would and could happen.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
No matter what you are going through or where you are in this life.
WITH CHRIST YOU CAN DO SO MUCH MORE
